MIXLUV TO LAUNCH FIRST SOCIAL MUSIC COLLABORATION PLATFORM
MixLuv to provide musicians, songwriters and engineers the ability to meet, collaborate, and manage their world of music online
New York, NY — On October 7th, MixLuv (https://blog.mixluv.com) launched a KickStarter campaign to rally support for a new venture which will bring social music collaboration to life. Rather than having to seek out musicians through print or legacy online forums, musicians, songwriters, and engineers will have the ability to meet, collaborate and centrally manage their world of music through the MixLuv platform.
Users will be able to find other musicians based on a number of criteria, including geographic location, musical style, influences and involvement in the community. After identifying the right people to contribute to a project, users can easily connect with these potential collaborators to compose the desired song elements they need to create and finish their track. The iterative audio mix management platform allows all constituents to be completely informed of every creative change throughout the production process.
Rather than securing traditional financing, MixLuv decided to turn to KickStarter, an international crowdfunding platform, to raise funds for the new venture and offer ‘rewards’ or ‘perks’ to project contributors.
“This platform will have a huge impact on the music industry. Currently, there is no existing change management system that facilitates music collaboration. We have also found that this system allows us to take a future forward position around artist rights, specifically the songwriter’s share.
